The Daisybeck Studios production team joined staff and guests from Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk last night for a transmission party to mark the start of the 4th series of the Channel 5 hit show.
The overnight ratings saw the programme win the 8pm slot, with the highest audience for any commercial channel last night with an 8.9% share. The new series runs for 8 weeks with an additional autumn series of 8 episodes currently in production. “Spending the evening watching the programme go out with the staff of Skeldale was a real treat” said Daisybeck Managing Director, Paul Stead. “The success of the show is a real testimony to the brilliant work carried out by Series Editor, Lou Cowmeadow and her team.
That, added to the unique access and strong bond with Skeldale’s Peter Wright and Julian Norton, means we can bring incredibly emotive stories onto screen, told in a beautifully crafted way that brings delight to audiences across the country. We continue our mission to produce the most Real, Rural and Relatable documentary series possible that keeps our loyal audience returning again and again”.
